This is yet another mystery cake from my early days of collecting. It was marked with the year…but nothing else. It is quite nice so I thought I would at least post some pictures of the beautiful leaves.

It has aged very well, considering it has just been sitting around ignored for all of this time. The leaves are a lustery dark brown and taste of earth and camphor and little, tiny hints of smoke and floral remnants. The leaves were not much to look at before throwing it in the pot, so don’t just disregard those semi-aged cakes out there that don’t look like much. Here is the before:
I was talking with my son while drinking this one so I completely forgot to take pictures of the liquor. It was a rich, but very transparent brown. Can’t ask for much more.
My son is so funny and beautiful (and i think he will age well), too, so here is a picture of his activiteas!
